Start with daily use
A busy family kitchen may value easy cleaning and predictable care. A keen baker may want a cool, solid preparation surface. A rental or short-term plan may favour straightforward value.
Inspect edges and joints
The same material can look different with a thick, thin or shaped edge. Ask where joints will sit around corners, sinks and long runs. Good planning keeps them out of the most exposed places where possible.

Small chips hide pattern scale and surface feel. View a larger sample beside the door, flooring and splashback under the room’s real light.
